I am proud to bring the work of Britney Jo Carroll to Austin Peay State University. boundaries is deeply personal, well executed work that addresses topics that are often not discussed or considered ‘inappropriate’. It is in-your-face art that disturbs some while comforting others, but no doubt creates dialogue about what art is and what art could be. In a society where men dominate the policy making on women’s healthcare and physiology, Carroll’s voice is refreshing and needed.
